In so far as the whole study progression for English language can be divided into three steps:
learning motivations, study methods and attitudes toward difficulties for the end . As Bacon put it,"Study serves for delight, for ornament and for ability." If so, the first kind of English learners, according to this standard, can be by practicing listening to English Broadcast Radio, intensive reading or making friends with local people. In that sense, through study with companions an partners, we can forster the best sense of commitment, responsibility and duty fufillment. If we can perfectly combine the four skills and try to put them with cross-cultural perspectives during study, we could master English language virtually.
