Tourism is a popular activity now spread rapidly of the world.More and more traveller swarmed to the scenery where have stream or palace which are more famous, irrespective internal or external.As tourism is increasingly seen as a money machine make countries open to the public,and the government fund on service to fascinate visitors with numerous profits.Followed increasing income from tourists,some problem such as pollution and culture impact exhibited to the goverment.Whether the benefits of tourism more than drawbacks or not arouse wide concern in society.This essay will discuss the influence of tourism by comparing the situation in a tourist city-Hawaii.

"Hawaii has become a major tourist destination that receives over six million visitors per year. It is a major contributor to the Hawaiian economy, so much so that it generates 10 billion dollars per year to the economy. From 1985 to 2010 the number of hotel rooms has been forecasted to double from 65 thousand to 132 thousand",(Lukasz Darowski&Jordan Strilchuk,2006,Negative Impact of Tourism on Hawaii Natives and Environment).Firstly,the report reveals that tourism is the main industry in Hawaii which brings a numerous profits(10 million) and taxation for government every year.Moreover,with a large amounts of tourists crowded into Hawaii,some tertiary industry has grew sharply such as the translator and guide has been required increasingly that means more oppotunities and work are supplied for natives.Thirdly,when authorities put the point on tourism,the public services will developing significantly,a huge budgets will invest to the highway,more hospital and community service will be built,all of these will more convenience of the residents.Absolutely,the diversification is not only happen in the economy.Since traveler visited to Hawaii,the government stress on culture preservation to protect natural culture, cause of cultural globalization.Furthermore, varouis eco-friendly project has been exploited like marine science,aquaculture and tropical agriculture.

Having examined benefits of tourism,we should consider negative impact.When it comes to globalization and tourism within Hawaii,a big diversity wave attack Hawaii.With the loss of traditional jobs many have turned to the industry to make a way of life which lead natives to abandon their natural life and change to a new style that will eventually create a new city substitute the local culture.Secondly, The economic development companioned with ecological damage:moutains of rubbish pile up at communities,thousands ton of Chemical poured into rivers,the problem of environment has been deteriorating.However the authorities like Hawaii developing more sustainable project can protect environment effectively.

To conclusion,it has been shown that despite the drawbacks that damage local culture and environmantal pollution,the numerous contributon of local economy and stimulate globalization cannot be neglect which supplied a large number of money to improve the level of life for natives.They clearly value the problem of trourism can be solve at a greater efficiency if government publish effective policy like eco-friendly project in Hawaii.Finally,the benefits of tourism reliable outweigh defect,but in the future,the government should find a way not only earn the profits, but also maintain sustainable development.
